Right now at most hobby stores, you can find lots of varieties of solid colored buckets, hat boxes, large gift boxes, bags, etc., and they are very inexpensive...load up on some of those, and decorate them with our monograms, custom lettering, flower or polka dot decals, or dinosaurs, and fill them with goodies or gift cards! 

We can do logos!  We have almost all the "major" brand-name logos that we can use to make wall decals!  So, if you are like most people, you have a few men in your life who are hard to buy for!  If they have a "Man Space," call us and we can work up a quote for you for a logo of their favorite brand of car, tool or beverage, or whatever you can think of!  The price will depend on the size and how many colors, of course, but to give you an idea on price, generally, if you are wanting a logo that is a single color and about 16"x23" in size, that size will run about $19.95.  So give us a call and we can help you out!

Inexpensive Holiday Gift Ideas

Everyone is feeling some type of "pinch" in their wallets this holiday season.  More and more people are paying close attention to the good bargains, and are looking for ways to save money, yet still give great gifts.

There are some wonderful gifts you can give this holiday season that will make your friends and family think you have spent a lot of money and time.  Vinyl lettering from Affordable Vinyl Graphics, www.mywalldecals.com, can be custom ordered for very little money.  You can personalize it to say whatever message you prefer.  Here are some ideas on gifts that you can give this year that are really inexpensive and easy for anyone to do.

Monogrammed Christmas ornaments are gifts that literally keep giving every year.  This is something everyone needs to decorate their tree and to have one that has been personalized will make it even more special.  To make this ornament you will need clear, glass craft ornaments that can be purchased at hobby stores.  You can usually find these for relatively cheap.  Now you will put the recipient’s first letter of their last name on the bulbs in 1” in etched glass vinyl.  Add a velvet ribbon and you are finished. These make great personalized teacher and hostess gifts. 

Personalized picture frames are something everyone needs.   The picture frames are easy to find at your local hobby store.  Wait until they go on sale and buy several.  You will need a 5x7 frame that has a wide, flat frame.  Next you will need to apply the lettering onto the frame.  Choose from stock sayings or come up with your own phrases or just the person’s name.   For instance, put a picture of your kids in a frame and apply “We Love Grandma!” for a heart warming gift for Grandma. 

Decorative mirrors are great for people to decorate a room.  These don’t need to be full mirrors, just a small beveled mirror about 12” x 12”.  Purchase your mirrors and personalize using monograms, sayings, or even full names.  Try doing this in a very elegant font in two or three colors.  Provide a small stand for the mirror and you have a completed gift.

Ceramic tiles can make a great gift with a little more work.  Find your 8” x 8” tiles in any color and drill two holes in each corner about 1” from edge.  Run ribbon or string through the holes and tie a large knot.  This is your hanger.  Apply your lettering, try a cute phrase for this one such as “Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much”.  Now you have a decorative hanger that can be hung anywhere in a home or office

Vases or flower pots can be used over and over throughout the year.  You can also choose to make them festive for use during the holiday season.  Find a red or green vase and wrap it with the vinyl lettering saying “Merry Christmas” or “Peace on Earth”.  For a pot that can be used year round add vinyl that states the family name with the family members names in smaller lettering.  The possibilities are endless with this idea.

There are so many holiday gift ideas using vinyl lettering that you will be able to give everyone on your list something personal.  Vinyl lettering is so easy to install, you will have all of your gifts done in less time than it takes to go to the mall.  Your friends and family will think you spent hours creating these or lots of money buying them premade.

I must say that, yes, I am addicted to fonts.  I could (and do) spend hours and hours looking for new fonts to try out.  I think Dr. Phil calls it "hoarding," but my husband calls it "obsessive compulsive."  I don't care...I love fonts!  It's like new toys...I don't know what I am going to do with all of them, but I will figure something out. 

So, last week, I had a little font downloading spree, so I am very excited to tell you that there are several new fonts on the Create My Own page, with more to come soon!  And now I am working on some more designs, so I can use my new fonts...life is wonderful!  So, keep checking back over the coming days...I'm sure there will be lots of new designs to choose from.  Oh, and if you see any fonts out there that you think I would like (which I probably will), email me at info@mywalldecals.com so I can check it out.
